Dawn Loves Food is Changing Directions. Same name, completely different content!
Yup, time to bend and shapeshift a little. We’re going from a specialty recipes blog (you’ll find a TON of Whole30 and Paleo inspo here!) to now talking about FOOD ADVENTURES in Lake Havasu and some of our weekend trips all around ARIZONA.
Doesn’t that just SOUND FUN?
Change is inevitable. How quickly or slowly that change happens is up to us and our individuality. I’ve joked around with my family before, “I’m changing lanes again guys”. Well, here we are again.
Couldn’t be happier about it either!
I started this blog, social media, internet “space” thing back in 2017 as a woman on a crusade to change her life around because she went through some serious health issues. I dove deep, educated myself and I made lots of recipes in the name of what I felt was “non-inflammatory”. I got waaaaay into Whole30 and learned a ton.
Now, I’ve taken what I need from that experience and honestly a big part of me doesn’t identify with the person I was back in the early years, on so many internally more content layers and levels.
I live in a different town and state. I own a business with my husband here in town. We’re living a big lofty dream we had. Moved out of “city life”, I’ve had to meet new friends at 50, my entire fucking vibe has changed.
If I don’t go in a direction I connect with, it won’t stick. But, isn’t that what we’re supposed to do in the name of sanity and happiness?
WHAT I KNOW TODAY:
Capturing video, producing, editing and storytelling within a digital medium of art, I dig. Really into personalized branding too.
I’ve got a larger-than-life-full-time job: I’m in charge of all things marketing for our Mortgage company. The social, the video scouting, producing, editing, voiceovers, reels, flyers, biz cards, logos, graphics, everything online. Networking, organization membership and non-profit volunteering is in my wheelhouse too.
Living my best enneagram 7 life!
Question is, what do I do with this tiny spot on the internet that’s just mine? Enter a complete remodel. These walls, doors, windows are all getting gutted down to the studs.
Truth is I don’t cook as much as I used to. Part burnout, part I’d rather do something else with my time than meal prep with a dash of my hours are super staggered.
There’s never a “perfect balance” ya’ll. Just going to rip the band aid off with you here:
It doesn’t exist.
We can be mindful, organized, disciplined and plan for every disaster you can think of, and then life’s gonna life.
CURRENT MOOD
I absolutely love to eat out, share awesome restaurants, get stories of the chefs behind the scenes, talk to business owners. Shop at farmers markets, learn about our food supply here in Lake Havasu and Northern Arizona.
Exploring cool things that even living here I didn’t know about! Lake favorites, Downtown gold, Local Talent, Inspiring entrepreneurs I meet along the way, small towns, Route 66, little mining towns that have a ton of history.
Over the next year I will be writing on some fun topics, think of it as a “Best Of” series! I can’t wait to share some of the new projects that are in the works. Many are still in manifestation phase though…planting seeds 🙂
First article I’m working on: The Food Truck Scene in Lake Havasu!
To you that read all the way down here, thank you so much for being here. This account makes me happy, and I truly appreciate your time:)
